"Solid Waste is Recycled in Hakkari!"
The Co-Funded by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye "Hakkari Integrated Solid Waste Management Project" , falls within the scope of the "The Environment and Climate Action Sectoral Operational Programme (ESOP)" prepared by the Ministry of Environment ,Urbanization and Climate Change (MoEUCC) and aims to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Waste Management in the Hakkari Province. The establishment of an integrated waste management system will contribute to Türkiye’s environmental strategies, and particularly to the National Solid Waste Management and Action Plan 2016-2023, as it will improve the recycling and disposal of waste, reduce solid waste loads, and close and rehabilitate the old dumpsites. The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality of environmental protection and life of citizens by addressing the fight against climate change and by harmonizing the EU with the environmental and climatic action.
